Farmington River - Crystal Rapids. Unionville, CT. 31 March 2012.
Unionville gauge at 360 cfs. This was a good, easy level for poling.
These are the rapids just below the putin. The temps were still in the 30s, and it was raining.
After a while, we got the boats out to the water.
We went upstream and played in Crystal Rapids a bit.
We poled up to the corner beyond the rapids. We could see what looked like a green canoe in the water, and Sean went up check it out. He brought the wreckage back to show us.
We played a bit more in Crystal Rapids on the way back down.
